All global information, gathered during subprogram analysis, can be stored in FORCHECK library files. If a program unit is modified, the global information of this modified program unit is replaced in the library file. New program units are automatically added. The interface of the program unit with the rest of the program will be verified using these library files.
By building library files with subprogram interfaces of the software packages you use, you can additionally verify the interface of the procedures in these packages.
When referring to library files, Forcheck keeps track of the versions of the program units. Each time you store the global information of a specific program unit in a library file its version number is updated. The version number is displayed on the source code listings and the program cross references.
Utilities are supplied to compress the library file, to list or remove program units stored and to build interface blocks of the subprograms.
